Sam has been interested in the outdoors ever since taking up horse riding aged 8. Hacking out in the countryside also started an interest in walking and she used to go walking regularly in Derbyshire with her family as a teenager. However, the walking soon stopped when she went to university and hangovers began, although the horse riding remained constant. She has recently taken up walking again around local scenic areas, but would like to progress to more challenging walks in an effort to get fit.
